Let’s Revise!

  • Mass is how heavy or light an object is.

  • We can use our pan balance to measure and compare the mass of objects

  • We can use our pan balance to measure collections of objects that are equal in mass.


Today you will use your home-made pan balance again to measure, compare and order the mass of objects from lightest to heaviest.

Now it's your turn.

Collect 3-4 objects that will fit in the cups of your pan balance and complete the activity as shown by Miss Rubino. Complete the activity 2-3 times using different objects.


When you have finished measuring, comparing and ordering, take a photo of your objects in order and send it to your teacher.
